With over thirty years experience in the retail meat industry managing butcher shops and supermarket meat departments throughout Australia, Gary Hine and his wife Kirsten Janke purchased the butcher shop in Mundaring, W.A. in January, 2007.

 

Both Gary and Kirsten are passionate about the ethical, humane treatment of animals and therefore support and endorse the farming practices applied in Organic and free-range meat production.


At The Naked Butcher, we place the highest emphasis on producing the highest quality, value added meat products derived from ORGANIC and/or FREE RANGE meat. By sourcing local ORGANIC and FREE RANGE beef, lamb, pork, turkey and chicken we develop products that contain minimal or no preservatives, wheat, gluten or artificial additives.

As testament to the quality products produced "in-store", we now regularly service customers as far north as Karratha, east to Kalgoorlie, south to Esperence, Denmark and Margaret River as well as the Perth and Fremantle metropolitan regions. At The Naked Butcher, we produce the vast majority of the meat products that we sell "in-store". We make our own hams and bacon, an extensive variety of low-fat GLUTEN AND PRESERVATIVE FREE premium sausages, corned beef and smoked products. Hugely popular are the Nitrate-free Bacon, Ham and Corned Silverside - that contain no nitrates, artificial chemicals or preservatives. Cured with natural herbs and salt and naturally smoked with karri wood chips, the popularity and reputation of these products continue to grow almost as fast as the demand!

ALL OF THE MEAT PRODUCTS WE SOURCE ARE FREE OF ARTIFICAL HORMONES AND ARTIFICIAL GROWTH PROMOTANTS.

 

 

As firm believers in using meat produced through ethical means, the staff at The Naked Butcher continue to encourage consumers to support the local Organic and free range meat industry. Our ORGANIC beef is sourced from Dandaragan and the South West of W.A. We also buy organic beef direct from farmers in the Swan and Chittering valleys of Western Australia.

 

We use Plantagenet Free Range pork for all pork products, including hams, bacon and sausages. The flavour, tenderness and consistancy of this product has resulted in our pork sales growing exponentially.

 

By using Mt Barker Free Range chicken exclusively, we guarantee the quality and value for money this premium product represents. All chickens we use are purchased as whole birds and are boned out and processed in-store. If you require a meal for one or a boneless chicken roast to feed the family, we have the solution for you.

 

We source prime Organic lamb from the South West of W.A. and from the Western Australian wheatbelt. From these lambs we create value added meal solutions that are oven ready and require minimal effort on the part of our customers.

 

We also stock a diverse range of game meats including kangaroo, emu, crocodile, wild rabbits, buffalo, camel, local venison, quail, spatchcock, pheasant and goose. Many of these products are available on a daily basis and others will need to be ordered. Please call ahead to check availability to avoid disappointment.

 

 

WE NOW HAVE A SPIT/HOODED OVEN FOR HIRE

We have recently purchased a spit/hooded oven. The oven is large enough to cook full lambs and spit pigs as well as larger boneless beef, lamb and pork products. The oven can accommodate multiple pieces of meat on the bar at one time.

 

If you wish to cook a variety of meat products and vegetables at the same time, we have an attachment that has full length baskets into which you can place all of the food at roughly the same time. The baskets then rotate to ensure even cooking.

 

The oven has proven to be very popular so bookings are essential. Even if your function is months away, it is advised that the oven is booked early to avoid disappiontment. Please book by calling the shop and also enquire about the discounted rate for your meat products you purchase when hiring the oven.
